What is Wearable Witness?
Wearable Witness uses DYGT! apparel and merchandise to spread encouraging messages while helping fund the Movement's charitable work. A shirt can start a conversation. A tote can carry a message into a grocery store. A notebook can become somebody's introduction to RootWorks. But Wearable Witness can do something else too: It can give twice. Wearable Witness supports both the people who receive DYGT! merchandise and the programs funded through its proceeds. That can include individuals we meet through outreach, workshop participants, volunteers, community partners, and people who could use an unexpected reminder that they are seen, valued, and capable of doing something meaningful with their lives.Why does it need support?We don't want every piece of DYGT! merchandise to exist only as something for sale. Part of the Wearable Witness vision is keeping merchandise available for outreach, sponsored gifts, workshops, volunteers, and community engagement. Support also helps us develop merchandise responsibly without requiring charitable program funds to absorb all of the upfront production costs.How can you support? People can support Wearable Witness by purchasing merchandise, donating specifically to the program, sponsoring outreach items, or helping us provide DYGT! materials for community events and workshops.
